Importance of Staying Cyber Secure in 2023

It’s no surprise that the cybersecurity landscape in 2023 continues to evolve and become more sophisticated. With the rise in artificial intelligence and the increase in remote work environments, businesses of all sizes are prime targets for hackers. Plus, with new strands of malware, ransomware, and social engineering attempts, it has become even more difficult to determine what’s real and what’s worth protecting.

Additionally, our current cybersecurity landscape has made it difficult for businesses to find cyber insurance. Unlike regular business insurance, cyber insurance is newer to the insurance market. As providers gather more data, they are able to determine benchmarks for cybersecurity insurance offerings (similar to a credit score) and regulate insurance costs from there. There are a variety of factors that could affect your company’s ability to implement cyber insurance — from a weak cybersecurity posture to a lack of regular data backups.
