John McNelly has over 20 years of experience in enterprise technology with a special emphasis on hybrid cloud solutions, application modernization and security, and solution design and engineering from top vendors such as Cisco, Dell, EMC, VMware, and VCE.
We kicked off the webinar with a discussion about the NIST Cybersecurity Framework. This framework covers the importance of a layered security strategy to address today’s complex security threats. We reviewed all aspects of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework: Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, and Recover. Next, John McNelly discussed how the increase in remote workers has changed the cybersecurity landscape. From developing remote cybersecurity policies to implementing remote cybersecurity technology tools, John provided several recommendations to secure your remote team. He also discussed how Cisco’s security portfolio enables your business to stay remote, flexible, and adaptable.
Then, the panelists covered the topic of managing your cybersecurity risk. They discussed how real the threat of a cybersecurity incident is and offered the top reasons why cybercriminals would want to exploit your business. The panelists also touched on the rise in data breaches, the value of data, and how this has changed in our increasingly dangerous cybersecurity threat landscape.
