AllConnected Expands Barracuda Relationship for Comprehensive Email Security Service

AllConnected has included additional layers of email security into selected managed services for years to ensure on-premise Exchange, and Microsoft Office 365 clients are protected. However, as the global security climate continues to change, additional precautions have become necessary to prevent todays greatest email borne threats and risks to continuity of communication.

And… To address these risks, AllConnected has entered into an expanded partnership with Barracuda to provide Barracuda Essentials, a comprehensive suite of services for protecting business emails and data in Office 365, Microsoft Exchange, and G Suite.

It’s a big change for our customers. Our clients were very happy with our Email Security Gateway, which we ran through our datacenters, but by switching everyone to Essentials, they not only retain Email Security, they also reduce their risk with advanced threat protection, email continuity, and other features on a per-user basis.

The Barracuda Essentials Suite combines award-winning email security, as well as a tamper-proof email archiving to ensure compliance and simplify litigation searches.

Specific add-ons include:

Email Continuity: ensures that email operations continue by failing over to a cloud-based, email service, in the event primary email services become unavailable. During email server outages, this emergency mailbox (96-hour spool for undelivered emails) allows users to continue sending, receiving, reading, and responding to email. Barracuda login mirrors your current Microsoft 365 or Active Directory login for a seamless failover, delivering a backup provider to Microsoft and giving your critical email communications continuous up-time.
Email Security: a comprehensive and affordable cloud-based email security service with a granular series of filters and malware management components, allowing greater flexibility and stronger threat protection. It protects both inbound and outbound email against the latest spam, viruses, worms, phishing, and denial of service attacks.
Advanced Threat Protection (ATP): analyzes inbound email attachments and publicly accessible direct download links in a separate, secured cloud sandbox, protecting against advanced malware, zero-day exploits, and targeted attacks not detected by the Barracuda Email Security Service virus scanning features. ATP is included with all Essentials bundles.
Cloud Archiving Service (add-on): integrates with your mail service to create a cloud-based indexed archive, storing email in a secure, separate repository for as long as needed without risk of deletion. The emails are immutable and retained according to your regulatory requirements along with advanced archiving/search functionality.
Streamlined Backup and Recovery (add-on): Cloud-to-Cloud Backup protects Exchange Online, OneDrive for Business, and SharePoint Online data by backing it up directly to Barracuda Cloud Storage. This service enables you to quickly restore accidentally deleted information.

Microsoft also offers backup and archiving services, but as Ross explains: “Purchasing some of these through Microsoft may require clients to upgrade their Office 365 plans. Now they don’t have to. We can offer them a la carte for their particular needs at a lower monthly price.”
